Wordsalad 17/9/09

The latest Wordsalad podcast features poetry and spoken word from Alex Hamburger, Andrea Gibson, Aaminah Hernandez, Corbet Dean, Janet Kuypers, Joan Retallack, Jorie Graham, Maria Fama, Naomi Shihab, Pierre Joris, Richard Huelsenbeck, Sekou (tha misfit), Stu Hatton and Wyndham Lewis. All interspersed with music from Morton Feldman.

For some reason I think the audio has been ever-so-slightly sped up, so that my voice sounds higher than normal (as if I'd just inhaled a balloon full of helium!)

The poem was originally published in Verandah 22, and this reading was recorded for the Images & Texts on the Verandah exhibit at Deakin University.

3CR Interview

On Wednesday the 11th of October I was interviewed by Juan Martorana on the breakfast show of Melbourne radio station 3CR. As well as talking about my work, and poetry in general, I read a couple of my poems: Inscriptions, which will be published in Issue #4 of Unusual Work, and cashed, which is set to appear online in the cool shade of the hutt.
